Woodland Park Zoo

The last day the girls had together we wanted to do something special so we went to the Zoo in Seattle. We have to take Hannah to the airport early Tuesday morning to meet up with Brian.
Our first stop was to see the giraffes because it was a special feeding time. You could pay $5 to let your child feed the giraffe we didn't want to try this because many children would cry because they were afraid. They liked being a little further away and watching them eat.

Watching the monkeys was fun

Paige liked the monkeys but was shy around the people.

We took this picture just for Tracy.
We saw the elephants but they were not very close
and they had their backs to us most of the time.

Hannah wanted to see the hippopotamus. They were sleeping.
We were a little disappointed because alot of the animal were sleeping and hard to see.
The girls also saw lions, tigers, bears, zebra, penguins or happy feet as Hannah called them, and we saw a gorillas (there was a mom and a little baby that was really cute.)
It was a perfect day and the girls were perfect too. We are so blessed to have two granddaughters who are so cute and behave so well.
Tuesday
No pictures taken today we were to busy getting Hannah off to the airport to meet up with her Daddy she was so excited! Paige surprised us because she went right to Brian and was not shy at all. She knew he was family! After leaving the airport we headed for Blaine. Paige slept for about an hour in the car. We stopped at Denny's to get breakfast, Paige and Hannah had breakfast at Sue's house but Bob and I didn't have time. Paige ate alot we could have order her her own meal she ate so much. We took another stop in Bellingham before making it home just in time for lunch. When we drove up to the house Paige said Hannah, we told her that Hannah was not here. I think she misses her she is now following me all around the house. Tuesday weather was terrible like a Juneau Oct day. It was a nice day for staying inside, Bob was glad to be done with driving sometime the visibility wasn't that great. The house is quiet but we all miss little Hannah. We had a wonderful time with her. Thanks Brian and Lauren for sharing her with us!
