Oregon Trip

On our way to Oregon we stopped in Curtis, Washington to visit Stan & Terri Sells and two of their sons, Luke and Caleb. We took a road trip up to Mt. Saint Helens with Stan & Terri but the low clouds kept us from seeing the mountain. Maybe next time.

Next we went to Corbett, Oregon to visit with Tom & Caroline Hiscox and their family. While we were there we took a road trip to the Columbia River Gorge.

And Multnomah Falls.

Here we all are with the Hiscoxs, Back row: Jacob, Will and Tom
Middle row Rachel, Emily and Caroline.

Next we headed to the Oregon coast. Our first stop was Nehalem Bay State Park. This is a recommended park if you are in the area.

Next stop was the Tillamook Cheese factory. If you like crowds and watching people "cut the cheese" then you should stop here. The ice cream was the best part of the stop.

Other than the road to Cape Lookout State Park this was one of our favorite stops. Nice camping and real close to the sand. But during the night it began to rain so our good weather came to an end.

If it hadn't started raining, Bob would still be wandering in the surf. Life is hard when you are no longer employed.

Our last stop was with John and Jonnie Lauch in Eugene Oregon.
We had a great time we were gone for 10 days. We will surely be going back to Oregon it was great fun!

I am so homesick for the Oregon Coast!! Nehalem State Park is where we had my dad's birthday BBQ in March. We all stayed in houses in Mazanita. I am glad the sun was shinning. But it is still fun in the rain.
