Busy Week

We went to a berry farm to pick raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. We went real early in the morning because the forecast was for temperatures in the 80's. Us Alaskans don't do well in the heat.

We ended up with almost 14 pounds of raspberries and a few pounds of blueberries. The blackberries will be ready in a week. It only took about 40 minutes to pick what we got.

This is the reason it only took 40 minutes. The berries were huge.

We were going to be in Seattle for Mom's cataract surgery so we decided to also attend the Juneau-Douglas picnic that happened to be that weekend. There were more people there than we expected. Many were folks that left years ago but we were pleasantly surprised to see some that we knew.

We arranged to meet Stan and Terri Sells at the picnic. They looked the same except Stan had a ring in his nose. Oh wait!! Thats not them.

Here they are. They haven't changed a bit. It was great to see them again and talk over old times and new. We also ran into Lora Mae Pilcher and Roger and Nancy Lange.

Mom's surgery went well and we will be back in Seattle next week to get the other eye repaired.
