I had a wonderful visit from my dear friend Rose. She came down and stayed with us for about a week. The time went way to fast and we stayed up way to late most nights, forgetting that we were not teenage girls but grandma. One of the special things we got to do was go to the Tulip Festival. The weather held out for us and we got a little sun and no rain drop feel on us.
We also were able to get in a visit with Dot and Bill Kehler. Poor Dot has suffered so much with back pain but you wouldn't know it that day. Bill was pastor of Douglas Island Bible Church when the church was first started until about 1980. They have now retired in BC Canada, it is only about an hour drive from us.
