New House in Blaine

This is our new home in Blaine Washington. No, we haven't bought it, we are renting. We have room for visitors so come on over!

It is really spring here! No snow and flowers, we are loving that part.

This is where Bob does his sweepstakes from, our last win was a $50 gift card to K-Mart ( he also won one for Brian and Lauren).

This is our living room with a little corner for the kids. Paige is not big enough to play yet but her little friend Taylor Mesdag (Mark's daughter) has already been here twice to play!

The living room has great windows. We are enjoying the sunshine. Great Vit D!

Our main bathroom.

My little craft area this is the little room that is attached to our bedroom.

The Kitchen - Dining Room

The kitchen has so much cabinet space and is so much bigger then ours that I can't remember where I put things.

Our Bedroom

We have a nice walk in closet!

Our Little Paige

She keeps me smiling and making the whole move worth it!

We have been to Canada three times in the 2.5 weeks that we have been here. We made the 45-50 minute drive twice to go have dinner at Alan and Tracy's house. One evening we drove to Chillawack BC to visit our friends Dot and Bill Kehler. We had a great visit with them, it was an hour drive to get to their place.
We are thankful that gas is cheaper here since we are doing a bit more driving then we did in Juneau. We have been paying $1.89/gal at Costco (gas in Juneau was $2.07 when we left).
Blaine is a small little border town. Population around 4,000. We live only one mile from the border crossing, and a half mile from the only grocery store in town. Also it is a mile or so to I-5 so it only takes us 15 minutes to get to Bellingham and great shopping. So for now this is a great location. We haven't found a church yet, we will be trying out another one tomorrow.
I not sure that it really feels like we have moved but seems more like we are on a long vacation. On Friday my mother will be coming to visit. We will then fly down to Arkansas to see Hannah and help Brian and Lauren get their new house ready to move into. That means more painting, we painted our whole house before we left Juneau. Then after Easter we will head back to WA with our motorhome. So it should be a fun trip!

Thanks for dinner! It's fun to be able to just drive down for the day. We're so glad that Paige will have Grandma and Grandpa so close!

Sunshine, flowers, no snow... sounds pretty nice to me! Would you send some up this way? It was fun to see the new digs!
Miss you!

I envy you your sunshine and flowers! It will be a while before we see any here. You cannot imagine how much I miss the comfort of knowing you are on the other side of the wall! I didn't even know how comforting it was to me until you were gone. It is so bizarre to realize you guys are not there anymore! I miss you even though we didn't connect as much as we used to. I know you are enjoying being so near to Alan, Tracy and Paige and being able to drive and enjoy the sunshine. Take care, Terri

Your new House looks perfect. And the location sounds even better. We just got back from our spring break trip to Seattle & Oregon Coast. It was busy, but everything went really well. We are anxious for our trip in August for the Wedding!! Take care....and keep those photo's coming.

Hey, this blog is great! Love the pictures! Your house looks roomy and beautiful, but it must be hard on your eyes to have so much bright light :)

Actually, I'm looking forward to a little Vitamin D and warm weather this summer.

Have a good trip back home.
