Trip to the East

We had a nice visit with Bob's family in New York. Binghamton had been hit hard by flooding and it was pretty sad to see all the damage in the neighborhood where Bob grew up. We were thankful that his sisters did not have any damage at their homes. We were very pleased to find Bob's mom doing much better then last time we were there in March 2010. She has moved to a different nursing home and seems to be much happy there.

Her room is smaller then what she had before and she has a roommate.

She is now using a walker but she has a great out look on things.

We where able to see her everyday and got to take her out a few times.

A Stop in Oklahoma

After a week in Ny we flew to Oklahoma and had a fun filled week with Brian, Lauren, Hannah and Nathan. We had some nice days and got to play outside with the kids.

Hannah and Grandma got to do lots of craft projects together. A love that Hannah and Grandma share, being creative. Her favorite project was the puppets and then she put on some very funny puppet shows. Hannah loves to talk and tell stories sometimes they don't make a lot of sense but they go on and on.

Grandpa and the kids enjoy a little time on one of the swings located in camp. We got to stay in a very nice cabin down in camp. Hannah was so cute she said "Grandma you and Papa get to stay in a cabinet in camp." Hannah spent one nite with us in our cabin she thought it was so fun even though all she did was go to bed there. The cabin is one room with a queen size bed and a three high bunk, has a little kitchen area with a small refrig, microwave, sink and little table for four, of course it has a bathroom also .

A little outing to a Pumpkin Patch

Our last day in town was the hottest day temp reaching close to 90. Of course it was the day we went to the pumpkin patch.

Grandma passed on the cow train ride. I don't think she would have fit in the trian. Getting Nathan to sit still was a challenge but they had a fun ride.

The little farm zoo was very little. Two pigs, a goat and a sheep. But Nathan loved it the goat almost bite both Nathan and Grandma.

Grandma and Hannah on the Hay Ride. It was a long ride lasting about 30 minutes at least most of it was in the shade.

Nathan checks out the pumpkins.

Hannah found the pumpkin she wanted!

It was a fun day to end our trip with. It was sad that Papa wasn't feeling to good.

Then we got home we found out he had a sinus infection and that his ear had blood in it from the flight. We had a great two weeks but the highlight was just getting to give hugs and kisses to those cute little grandkids. Thanks everyone for making our time special!
