A Visit to North Cascades National Park
Another park marked off my list.

The mountain peaks were quite a ways in the distant. It was pretty but not as beautiful as we thought it would be. The park has three campgounds and many trails. Most of the park is remote and can only be viewed via backpacking.

There are three dams on the river that runs through the park with hydo plants. I don't think this is actually part of the park , the river and the road run between the park. The dams provide about 1/4 of Seattle's power. We saw several large fish (ranging from 14" - 24"), we weren't sure what type of fish they were but some type of trout.

A little waterfall by the power plant.

Bob on the bridge going to the power plant.

Snow still at the top of the pass.
Winthrop
A small old western town on the east side of the Cascades. We stopped here and had lunch before heading back west. They had board walks, the only thing missing was the horses. They were going to have a rodeo this weekend.

It was a fun day! We had great weather too!
